The global dry bulk shipping industry converged in Switzerland this week for the second edition of Geneva Dry, the world’s premier commodities shipping conference. Organized by the respected team behind the maritime news platform Splash, this year’s event opened to record-breaking attendance and palpable excitement for the future of global trade following a challenging start to 2025.
Held at the prestigious Hotel President Wilson on the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva, Geneva Dry 2025 attracted 819 registered delegates, surpassing all expectations. In fact, the event’s overwhelming popularity meant more than 100 additional requests for passes had to be declined as the summit sold out in its final week. A special highlight of this year’s summit was the session dedicated to the impact of the electric vehicle revolution on seaborne trade, providing delegates with forward-looking perspectives on how emerging industries are transforming shipping demand.
