10:58 Romania’s Interior Minister Lucian Bode stated on Friday (March 3) at the Interior Ministry (MAI) headquarters, on the occasion of the Civil Protection Day, that through the quick and efficient response provided following the requests for support coming from the countries affected by various emergency situations, Romania has proven that it is a credible partner within the cooperation formats.

10:42 Romania’s Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity, Marius Budai, and his Spanish counterpart, Jose Luis Escriva Belmonte signed in Spain a joint declaration of intent for collaboration in the field of social security between the relevant institutions of the two countries.

10:22 Romania’s finance ministry raised nearly RON1 billion on Thursday (March 2) through two government bond issues, at annual average yields of 7.99% and 7.27%, respectively, National Bank of Romania data showed.

10:17 In 2022, air passenger transport increased by 87.6% y-o-y with 20,971,800 passengers recorded, compared to 11,176,800 passengers in 2021, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) data showed.

Bucharest stocks head into the weekend higher in line with most major stock markets in Europe which closed with strong gains as investors digested the latest batch of economic data reports. Business activity in the Eurozone and the United Kingdom was reported to have increased in February, while Germany’s trade surplus climbed to €16.7 billion in January.
