11:17 The average gross nominal wage in Romania in November 2022 stood at RON 6,679 (EUR 1352) up 3.4% compared to October 2022, while the average net nominal wage stood at RON 4,141 (838) up 3.3% m-o-m, the National Institute of Statistics data showed.

CAPITAL MARKET COMMENTARY
Bucharest stocks indices turned in a mixed performance on Thursday as the European Central Bank (ECB) said that the average inflation rate is expected to fall to 6.3% this year, before declining further to an average of 3.4% in 2024 and 2.3% in 2025. To achieve the 2% inflation target, the ECB stated that interest rates will still have to rise significantly at a steady pace to reach levels restrictive enough to return to the target range. |
