10:41 Romania’s Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration Cseke Attila has signed 30 new financing contracts under component C5 – Renovation Wave in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) worth a total of RON 440,857,833.47, Agerpres reported.

10:31 Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis received, on Tuesday, the new ambassadors of the United States of America, Kathleen Ann Kavalec, of Turkey, Ozgur Kivanc Altan, of Slovakia, Peter Hatiar, and of Mexico, Amparo Erendira Anguiano Rodriguez, on the occasion of which they had presented their letters of credence.

11:11 The production of passenger cars increased by 9.65% in January 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, up to 35,171 units, according to the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACAROM).

Bucharest stocks closed in the green on Wednesday, as the National Bank of Romania revised downwards its inflation forecast for 2023 to 7% from its previous December projection of 11.2%, BNR chief Mugur Isarescu told a press briefing presenting the quarterly inflation report.
