Easter is one of the most important religious celebrations in Romania and is a public holiday across the country. In 2023, Orthodox Easter Sunday falls on April 16.
-The Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bucovina, Teofan, in his pastoral letter to the Romanians on the occasion of the Easter: Feast of the Resurrection brings joy and gives courage.
-President Klaus Iohannis said on Saturday (April 15): May the Holy Easter strengthen us in faith and hope.
-Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca in a message posted on the Government’s Facebook page wished the Romanians who celebrate Easter that the joy of the Resurrection should bring them peace of mind, peace and happiness with their loved ones.
-The Minister of Culture, Lucian Romascanu, said on Saturday (April 15) on the occasion of the World Art Day that art remains an expression of freedom and urges to honoring artists and enjoy their creations.
