10:55 Romania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu, on Monday (Feb. 20) will travel to the capital of Belgium to take part in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) is composed of the ministers of foreign affairs, defense and/or development of the Member States of the European Union.

10:48 Culture Minister Lucian Romascanu wrote on Facebook on Sunday (Feb. 19) on the Constantin Brancusi National Day, that the Romanian sculptor, who revolutionised plastic language, is one of the great ambassadors of Romania.

ARAD

10:27 The western Romanian city of Arad is the location where Europe’s largest solar plant will be constructed, with the first stage of work to start in July. The full project is scheduled to be completed by 2026. The investment will be made on the initiative of Monsson Group under three programs carried out by private investors in the region of Arad. Monsson’s representatives stated that the total value of the project amounts to about EUR 1.4 bn, Ziare reported.
