-Romania’s Senate and Chamber of Deputies start on Thursday (Sept. 1) their second ordinary parliamentary session of the year.
-Romania’ Energy Minister Virgil Popescu said on Wednesday at the beginning of a government meeting that the country’s natural gas stockpiles have neared 73% as 2.28 billion cubic metres of natural gas are in storage facilities.

– Romania’s finance ministry is launching new government bond issues for the general population only, on Thursday (Sept 1), through the TEZAUR and FIDELIS programs.
-Romania’s beverage exports in January-May 2022 stood at 108.4 million euros, up by 52.3% compared to the same period a year ago, National Institute of Statistics (INS) data showed.

– Over the last decade, over 100,000 non-EU citizens came to work in Romania in domains such as textiles, HoReCa or constructions, a study of EY Romania showed.
-Romanian state-run aircraft repair and maintenance company IAR Brasov H1 2022 net profit stood at RON18.9 million, down 4.7% y-o-y.
-Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea H1 2022 net profit stood at RON4.1 billion, as compared to RON1.8 billion in the same period of 2021, the property restitution fund said in its financial report sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

-About 295,000 people crossed Romania on Wednesday (August 31) including over 13,000 Ukrainian nationals, up 14.8% from the previous day, the General Border Police Inspectorate (IGPF) reported on Thursday.
