-Romania’s national tax authority (ANAF) has said it is cancelling some 106 million lei (aprox. 21.9 million euro) in debt due by ten state-owned local companies active in the defense industry in order to comply with a government emergency decree issued in April.

-Low-cost Romanian airline Blue Air on Tuesday announced that it would suspend all flights from Romania until Monday (September 12) because all its banking accounts have been blocked which makes it impossible for the company to pay the current costs, necessary for the operation of daily flights.
-Romania’s hotel market is expanding as 18 new hotels will be opened in Bucharest and countrywide by 2023, according to the “Romanian Hotel Market” report by Crosspoint Real Estate.
-The number of dissolved companies increased by 15.2%, in the January-July 2022 period, up to 19,443, compared to 16,878 in the same period of 2021, according to National Trade Registry Office (ONRC) data.
