ECONOMY
-Romania’s annual inflation rate jumped to 15.9% in September of 2022, from 15.3% in August, and well above market expectations of a 15.2% National Institute of Statistics (INS) data showed.
-The INS brought down Romania’s economic growth estimate to 5.1% in Q2 2022 and 5.7% in H1 2022.
-The International Monetary Fund (IMF) raised its forecast for Romania’s 2022 economic growth to 4.8% from 3.5% projected in June 2022.
-Average net pay in Romania stood at 3,933 lei in August, down 42 lei or 1.1%, on a monthly basis, INS said. On an annual basis, the average net pay in August 2022 increased by 12.8%.
COMPANIES & MARKET
-Romania’s beer market ended the first half of 2022 with a 4% drop after the first four months saw a 10% volume fall, according to data by the Romanian Brewers Association.
-The number of real estate deals in Romania stood at 62,054 last month, 3,668 more than in August, national cadaster agency ANCPI data showed.
-Romania’s self-storage market attracts mostly companies, according to the European Self Storage Industry special report launched by CBRE.
