CAPITAL MARKET COMMENTARY

Bucharest stock indices headed into the weekend higher in line with rest of Europe’s markets. Transgaz,
the state-owned company, which is the technical operator of the national natural gas transmission system in Romania, led the BVB’s blue-chip gainers, closing at 287.0000 points.

19:28 The president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, will carry out a working visit to Romania on Dec. 19 and 20, and deliver a speech in the plenary of the Romanian Parliament on Dec. 19.

15:30 Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL), announced on Friday that the steps for Romania’s accession to Schengen will be continued and specified that the decoupling in this file from Bulgaria is a measure that must be analyzed, Agerpres reported.
