Bucharest stocks extended their loses from the previous session on Thursday with the blue-chip BET index falling 0.96%. Romanian equites bucked the trend across Europe where major stock market indices closed higher on Thursday despite opening in the red territory. Sphera Franchise Group led the BET’s decliners with the company’s shares plunging 2.44% to close at 14.0000 points.

11:46 Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu noted in the opening of the Report on the highlights of Romania’s diplomatic actions published on Thursday (Dec. 29), that 2022 was undoubtedly the most difficult year for the Romanian diplomacy after 1989.
