Romanian equites bucked the trend across Europe where major stock market indices closed higher on Thursday despite opening in the red territory. Sphera Franchise Group led the BET’s decliners with the company’s shares plunging 2.44% to close at 14.0000 points. |

11:46 Romania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu noted in the opening of the Report on the highlights of Romania’s diplomatic actions published on Thursday (Dec. 29), that 2022 was undoubtedly the most difficult year for the Romanian diplomacy after 1989.
10:11 Romania’s government approved an emergency decree enforcing a solidarity tax on the profits of oil and natural gas producers and oil refining companies, aiming to raise 3.9 billion RON (788 million EUR) in budget revenues in 2023, secretary of state with the Ministry of Finance Mihai Diaconu informed on Wednesday, after the government meeting.
