Southeastern European stock markets closed with mixed results on Thursday as several major indices posted gains, while others ended in negative territory. Gainers included the SBITOP index in Slovenia, MNSE10 in Montenegro, SOFIX in Bulgaria, SASX10 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CROBEX in Croatia, and MBI 10 in North Macedonia. Meanwhile, the Athens Exchange in Greece, the BET index in Romania, and the BELEX15 in Serbia ended the session in the red, reflecting broader market pressures.

BULGARIA
In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks jumped 2.13% ending the session at 961.55 points.

CROATIA
In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) was higher by 0.08% to reach 3,454.52 points.

CYPRUS
In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies rose 0.38% to end the day at 244.46 points.

GREECE
In Greece, the general index of the Athens Exchange, which tracks 61 large-cap companies, was down 0.29% to settle at 1,785.8400 points. The session’s biggest lost came from Performance Technologies, whose shares dropped 4.01%, leading the blue-chip gainers.

MOLDOVA
On the Moldova Stock Exchange no trading took place today.

MONTENEGRO
In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was up 0.65% settling at 1.170,01 points.

NORTH MACEDONIA
In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) was up 0.23% to reach 10,756.34 points.

ROMANIA
In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was lower by 1.55% to end at 16,250.36 points. Read more here.

SERBIA
The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks was lower 0.23% to close at 1.140,75 points. The BSE’s market capitalization stood at RSD 479.395.654.932 (~EUR 4.089.112.192).

SLOVENIA
The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange added 0.70% closing at 2,123.59 points.
