Markets across Southeast Europe posted a mixed performance on Monday. Gains were recorded in Athens, Nicosia, Sofia, Belgrade, and Ljubljana, while losses were observed in Zagreb, Banja Luka, Podgorica, Skopje, and Bucharest. Sarajevo’s benchmark index remained unchanged.

BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA (Banja Luka)
The Banja Luka bourse (BLSE)’s 12-share BIRS equity index was lower by 0.89% to finish at 848,06 points.

BULGARIA
In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks gained 0.60% ending the session at 964.94 points.

CROATIA
In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost 0.19% to reach 3,474.58 points.

CYPRUS
In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies rose 1.68% to end the day at 252.46 points.

GREECE
In Greece, the general index of the Athens Exchange, which tracks 61 large-cap companies, was up 0.93% to settle at 1,827.5100 points. The session’s biggest gain came from Optima Bank, whose shares jumped 5.65%, leading the blue-chip gainers.

MOLDOVA
On the Moldova Stock Exchange no trading took place today.

MONTENEGRO
In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was off 0.24% to finish at 1.162,67 points.

NORTH MACEDONIA
In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) was down 0.36% to reach 10,738.94 points.

ROMANIA
In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) lost 0.57% to end at 17,346.20 points. Read more here.

SERBIA
The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks was higher 1.00% to close at 1.164,39 points. The BSE’s market capitalization stood at RSD 482.825.263.973 (~EUR 4.118.299.064).

SLOVENIA
The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange added 0.40% closing at 2,163.68 points.
