Southeastern Europe’s capital markets closed broadly lower on Thursday, as the shockwaves from U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping new tariffs rippled across the region. With global risk sentiment turning sharply negative, investors across the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean dumped shares, especially in export-sensitive sectors. Serbia stood as the only exception, posting modest gains amid a tide of red.
