SE Europe Capital Markets

Southeastern European stock markets had a mixed performance, with most indices closing higher, while others saw marginal declines. The Athens Stock Exchange and Bucharest BET Index posted gains, while markets in Sofia and Skopje ended lower.


The Sarajevo Stock Exchange’s (SASE) 10-share benchmark SASX10 index closed up 0.17% to finish at 1.298,45 points.

The Banja Luka bourse (BLSE)’s 12-share BIRS equity index was off 0.22% ending at 935,71 points.


In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks dropped 0.47% settling at 903.11 points.


In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) gained 0.14% to finish at 3,301.65 points.


In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies, was up 0.71% ending at 229.64 points.


In Greece, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index which tracks 61 Big Cap companies, was higher by 0.11% to close at 1,627.3600 points. Sarantis S.A. led the blue-chip gainers as the multinational consumer products company saw its shares surging by 5.85%.


On the Moldova Stock Exchange (MSE) there were no transactions taking place today.


In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was unchanged.


In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), was lower by 0.22% to finish at 10,503.45 points.


In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was up 0.92% closing at 17,607.29 points. Read more here.

The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks, was up 0.55% ending at 1.143,41 points. BSE’s market capitalization stood at RSD 477.262.423.547 (€4.075.122.238).


The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, (LJSE) grew by 0.66% to finish at 2,025.63 points.
