SE Europe Capital Markets

Markets across Southeastern Europe delivered mixed performances during the latest trading session.
Gains were recorded in Bulgaria (+0.83%), Cyprus (+0.11%), and Serbia (+0.12%), reflecting mild investor optimism in select sectors. Meanwhile, Croatia (-0.94%), Slovenia (-0.85%), and Romania (-0.26%) led regional declines, with moderate pullbacks seen in Greece, Bosnia, and North Macedonia. Montenegro’s market remained flat.


The Sarajevo Stock Exchange’s (SASE) 10-share benchmark SASX10 index ticked down 0.03% to end at 1.324,12 points.

The Banja Luka bourse (BLSE)’s 12-share BIRS equity index lost 0.23% settling at 870,17 points.


In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks added 0.83% ending the session at 887.19 points.


In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) was off 0.94% to reach 3,215.37 points.


In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies advanced 0.11% to end the day at 230.53 points.


In Greece, the general index of the Athens Exchange, which tracks 61 large-cap companies, dropped 0.08% to close at 1,655.2300 points. The session’s biggest lost came from Iktinos Hellas, whose shares shrunk by 3.65, leading the blue-chip decliners.


On the Moldova Stock Exchange, there were no transactions today.


In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was unchanged.


In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) lost 0.07% to reach 10,271.88 points.


In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was lower by 0.26% to end at 17,060.58 points. Read more here.

The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks gained 0.12% to close at 1.155,38 points. The BSE’s market capitalization stood at RSD 483.033.166.518 (~EUR4.120.497.655).


The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange was off 0.85% closing at 1,952.83 points.
