Southeastern European stock markets experienced a generally positive trend, though with varied performance. Notable gains were observed in North Macedonia, Romania, and Slovenia, where indices saw the strongest increases. Conversely, Cyprus recorded the smallest uptick, indicating a more subdued trading day. Overall, the region displayed resilience, with most major indices registering positive movement.

In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks was higher by 0.18% to close at 897.72 points.


In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) gained 0.21% to finish at 3,297.10 points.


In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies ticked up 0.05% to end at 231.41 points.


In Greece, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index which tracks 61 Big Cap companies increased by 0.15% to close at 1,696.1000 points. AVAX S.A. led blue-chip gainers as the construction firm saw its shares surging by 4.29%.


On Moldova Stock Exchange (MSE) there were no transactions today.


In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was up 0.18% to end at 1.203,08 points.


In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) was higher by 0.81% settling at 10,406.40 points.


In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) advanced 0.75% to end at 17,399.35 points. Read more here.

The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks increased by 0.21% to close at 1.146,58 points. Today’s BSE market capitalisation stood at RSD 477.185.659.956 (EUR 4.072.349.181).


The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange was up 0.48% closing at 2,013.48 points.
