Southeast European stock markets showed mixed performance, with some indices posting gains while others declined. The Cyprus Stock Exchange led the region in gains, while Montenegro’s MNSE10 index recorded the largest drop. Below is an overview of key market movements across the region.

The Banja Luka bourse (BLSE)’s 12-share BIRS equity index was off 0.22% to close at 919,58 points.


In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks was lower by 0.07% to close at 901.53 points.


In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost 0.50% to finish at 3,313.21 points.


In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies jumped 2.25% to end at 241.62 points.


In Greece, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index which tracks 61 Big Cap companies increased by 0.09% to close at 1,702.8200 points. OPAP led blue-chip gainers as the leading gambling company saw its shares surging by 2.68%.


On Moldova Stock Exchange (MSE) there were no transactions today.


In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares was off 1.06% to end at 1.183,05 points.


In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) was higher by 0.36% settling at 10,620.89 points.


In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 0.16% to end at 17,330.00 points. Read more here.

The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks lost 0.16% to close at 1.147,34 points. Today’s BSE market capitalisation stood at RSD 477.257.862.224 (EUR 4.071.401.804).


The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange was off 0.39% closing at 2,010.60 points.
