Southeast European stock markets ended the day mixed on Friday, with modest gains in Romania, Bulgaria, and Bosnia’s Sarajevo bourse, while notable losses were seen in Banja Luka and Greece. Montenegro and North Macedonia posted marginal increases, while Serbia, Cyprus, Slovenia, and Croatia closed slightly lower.

BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA (Banja Luka)
The Banja Luka bourse (BLSE)’s 12-share BIRS equity index plunged by 5.21% to finish at 871,64 points, marking the steepest decline in the region.
Note: The SASE operates in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the BLSE serves Republika Srpska, the other entity forming Bosnia and Herzegovina.
BULGARIA
In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) comprising 15 key stocks was higher by 0.80% to close at 910.69 points.
CROATIA
In Zagreb, CROBEX index tracking 20 major stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost 0.11% to finish at 3,329.27 points.
CYPRUS
In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) which follows 38 listed companies fell 0.94% to close at 238.51 points.
GREECE
In Greece, the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index which tracks 61 Big Cap companies depreciated by 0.60% to close at 1,735.6800 points. Eurobank led blue-chip losers as the lender saw its shares plunging 3.35%.

On Moldova Stock Exchange (MSE) there were no transactions today.
MONTENEGRO
In Podgorica, the MNSE10, the leading index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) which reflects the 10 most representative shares ticked up 0.03% to finish at 1.184,97 points.
NORTH MACEDONIA
In Skopje, the blue-chip MBI 10 index representing 10 selected blue-chip stocks on the North Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) gained 0.10% settling at 10,558.44 points.
ROMANIA
In Romania, the BET index tracking the 20 most liquid stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) rose 0.37% to end at 17.570,12 points. Read more here.

The BELEX15 Index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE), covering the 15 largest and most liquid stocks was lower by 0.42% to close at 1.159,48 points. Today’s BSE market capitalisation stood at RSD 478.443.499.460 (EUR 4.081.060.190).

The Slovenian SBITOP index which which tracks the 9 most liquid stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange fell 0.16% closing at 2,021.72 points.
