Southeast European equities closed mixed on Monday, reflecting local dynamics but broadly aligning with the positive sentiment across Europe, where major indices ended higher. Gains in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Greece, and Cyprus outweighed declines in North Macedonia, while markets in Bosnia, and Montenegro were flat.


In Sarajevo, the SASX-10 index was unchanged settling at 1.473,02 points. Turnover on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) reached 1.473,02 KM in today’s session, with 8 trades concluded and a total of 2955 securities changing hands. The most actively traded stock was IGMAN DD KONJIC which generated the highest turnover of 273.104,00 KM.


The Banja Luka Stock Exchange’s BIRS index was unchanged settling at 854,14 points. Turnover totaled BAM 25.955,28 while the exchange’s market capitalization hovered around 1.028.579.221,17.


In Sofia, the main equity index SOFIX added 0.46% settling at 1 071.84 points. The total turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange’s market (including the Main, Alternative, beam and MTF BSE International markets) stood at EUR 3 981 221 (BGN 7 786 592).


The Zagreb Stock Exchange’s CROBEX index ticked up 0.02% to settle at 3,797.62 points. Turnover stood at EUR 3,797.62.


Cyprus’ general index was up 0.15% to end the session at 288.39 points. Total stock volume amounted to EUR 757,607.74 across 181 transactions. Of the listed companies, 4 posted gains, 8 declined, 3 remained unchanged, and 33 were not traded.


In Athens, the general index gained 0.13% to finish at 2,034.46 points. Kri Kri led blue-chip gainers as its shares surged by 4.08%.


The Moldova Stock Exchange saw no trading activity today.


In Podgorica, Montenegro’s stock exchange MNSE 10 index was unchanged finishing at 1.152,84 points. The stock ZICG was the hit of the day, closing at a price of €16.05 It recorded a total trading volume of €16.05 executed through one transaction.


North Macedonia’s MBI-10 index lost 0.11% settling at 10,408.43 points. The market capitalization stood at MKD 270,911,624,211.


Bucharest’s benchmark BET index was higher by 0.82%, closing at 21,284.69 points. Among blue-chip stocks, Medlife led gainers as its shares jumped 3.89%. Read full Romania Market Report here.

The Belgrade Stock Exchange’s BELEX15 index was up 0.10% finishing at 1.223,47 points. Total market capitalization: 497.107.078.253 RSD (€4.241.220.374)


Finally, in Ljubljana, the SBITOP index advanced 0.54% to end at 2,494.98 points. Turnover stood at EUR 2,164,880.10.
